Our story

Founded by Dr. Wanyu Bertrand Yuwong, AlcoMalaria Action Network began as a passionate response to the devastating impact of malaria in Sub-Saharan Africa. Recognizing the need for a holistic approach to tackle this persistent health challenge, Dr. Wanyu and a team of dedicated experts combined research with community-driven initiatives.

In 2024, AlcoMalaria Action Network was officially established under the legal registration number 005/G.37/D14/VOLI/IAP, marking the start of a mission to empower communities, curb malaria, and confront alcohol’s impact.

With a blend of science and advocacy AlcoMalaria Action Network continues to lead the charge against malaria, making a lasting impact across the region.

Dr. Wanyu is the visionary behind AlcoMalaria Action Network, driving our mission to combat malaria and promote mental health with a passion for community empowerment and research excellence.

Dr. Tanyi Pride Bobga - Secretary General

Dr. Tanyi is the backbone of our administrative operations, expertly managing communications, records, and meeting coordination to keep AlcoMalaria Action Network running smoothly.

Mr. Musa Nji– Research Director

Mr. Musa leads our research initiatives, driving innovation and ensuring our projects are conducted with scientific rigor.

Dr. Ngwa Fabrice Ambe – Treasurer

Dr. Ngwa ensures the financial health of AlcoMalaria Action Network by overseeing budgeting, financial reporting, and fund management, ensuring resources are used effectively.

Mr. Fonban Emmanuel Lendzemo – Public Relations Officer

As the public voice of our organization, Mr. Fonbam manages media relations and outreach campaigns, helping to raise awareness and engage the community with our mission
